World of Warcraft guilds recruiting

Whether you want a Cutting Edge raid team, a Mythic+ group that pushes keys together or a social guild for a neighbourhood in Midnight, the fastest way in is a clear recruitment post: class and spec, realm and faction, and the nights you can raid. Browse WoW guild posts below or add yours.

Types of WoW guilds

Guilds sort themselves by what they do on raid night. Knowing which kind you want saves both sides a trial week.

• Mythic raiding guilds — progression on a fixed schedule, usually two or three nights a week, with a 20-player Mythic roster and bench
• Heroic / AOTC guilds — Ahead of the Curve each tier with a lighter schedule
• Mythic+ guilds — key groups and score pushing rather than raids
• PvP guilds — rated battlegrounds and arena teams
• Social and levelling guilds — chat, delves, events and, since Midnight, guild housing neighbourhoods

What raid leaders ask in an application

A raiding guild will want your character's Warcraft Logs and Raider.IO profile, your current and past experience ("9/9 Heroic, 4/9 Mythic"), attendance you can commit to, and whether you have an off-spec. Guilds recruit to their roster gaps, so lead with your class and spec — "Resto Shaman, can go Elemental" gets a reply faster than a paragraph about yourself.

Realm and faction still matter for the guild itself even though cross-realm and cross-faction groups are common: joining means transferring or making a character on the guild's realm.

Where WoW guilds recruit

The in-game Guild Finder (Guilds & Communities panel) lists guilds by activity and play time. Raiding guilds also post on Raider.IO's recruitment pages, WoWProgress and the official forums' recruitment boards. AnySquad lets you post once with role, realm, schedule and language, so guilds recruiting in your time zone can find you instead of you scrolling every board.

What a good World of Warcraft guild post looks like

Resto Shaman (Elemental off-spec), 9/9 H, 3/9 M this tier. Looking for a Mythic guild raiding Tue/Thu 20:00–23:00 server time, EU. Logs and Raider.IO on request.

<Guild> (Horde, Silvermoon EU) recruiting for 2-night Mythic progression: ranged DPS and a healer. Also open to social members for M+ and housing.

World of Warcraft guild questions

How many members can a WoW guild have?

A World of Warcraft guild can hold up to 1,000 characters. Raiding rosters are much smaller — a Mythic raid takes exactly 20 players.

Do I need to be on the same realm as my guild?

Yes, a guild belongs to one realm and faction. You can group cross-realm for most content, but joining the guild means having a character on its realm — by transfer or a new character.

What should I put in a WoW guild application?

Class and spec (and off-spec), item level, Warcraft Logs and Raider.IO links, raid experience this tier, the nights you can attend and your time zone. Short and specific beats long and general.

Is there an in-game guild finder?

Yes — the Guild Finder in the Guilds & Communities panel. It is a good start, but many raiding guilds recruit mainly through Raider.IO, WoWProgress, Discord and LFG sites.
