Grounded LFG — Find a Co-Op Backyard Crew

Grounded LFG for players who don't want to face the backyard alone. AnySquad shows live lobbies looking for a co-op crew to build bases, fight giant bugs and explore the yard at ant-size — filter by progress and platform, then join.

Grounded's giant-bug fights and base defense are built around a crew splitting damage, healing and building — a solo player at ant-scale is one spider ambush from a wipe with no one to revive them. A real crew covers each other while exploring the yard's more dangerous corners.

Find a Grounded duo, or build a full squad

Not every night needs a full squad. A duo is the lowest-friction way to play Grounded with someone better than a random fill — one person you can actually talk to, no scheduling, no roster. Most hosts on AnySquad are looking for exactly that: one more player, right now.

When you do want the full squad, post the slots you still need rather than waiting to be found. A lobby that says what it is missing fills faster than a profile that lists what you play. Hosts set the party size when they create the lobby, so the feed above already tells you whether a post needs one player or four — you are never guessing whether there is room.

Find a main main for your Grounded squad

Hosts tag their lobby with the mains they play and the ones they are missing — Willow Branch, Peter Boggs, Maxwell Smalls, Ally "Hoops" Nguyen. In Grounded that matters more than raw skill: a group that covers its gaps beats a group of individually better players who overlap.

If you are a one-trick, say so. It is not a weakness in a pre-made — it is information, and it is the fastest way to find people who want exactly the main you are good at rather than the one the queue assigned you.

Grounded crossplay — Xbox and PC

Grounded supports crossplay across Xbox and PC, and every lobby says which platforms the host is happy to group with. Input method is worth mentioning in your post: controller and mouse players can play together, and in most lobbies they do, but the ones that care usually care a lot — better said up front than discovered mid-match.

How to write a Grounded LFG post that actually gets replies

Most LFG posts fail for the same reason: they describe the person writing them instead of the group they want. "Chill player looking for people" tells a reader nothing they can act on.

Four things get a post answered. Say how many players you need, not how many you have. Say when — "now" is a real answer and the best one. Say the one thing you care about, whether that is a mic, a rank, a region or just not raging. And leave out everything else: a long post reads like a list of requirements, and the people who clear every requirement are not the ones browsing an LFG feed.

One more: when your group fills, close the lobby. Stale posts are the reason people stopped trusting Discord LFG channels, and a board full of them is worth less to you than to anyone.

Grounded LFG on Discord vs AnySquad

Discord is where most Grounded LFG still happens, and for a server you are already in, it works. The problem is what an LFG channel becomes after a week: a scroll of posts with no way to tell which are live. You message six people, four are offline, one filled an hour ago, and the sixth never set the role that lets them see your reply.

AnySquad is the same idea without the archaeology. A lobby is a post that knows whether it is still open — when it fills or the host closes it, it stops being shown. You do not join a server, get a role, read the rules and then ask; you open the Grounded feed, see who needs a player right now, and join.

If your group already lives on Discord, keep it there — AnySquad's bot posts your lobbies into your own server, so finding people and playing with them do not have to be the same tool.

Can I join a Grounded save that's already in progress?

Yes. Hosts list their story progress and base location, so you can join at a compatible point.

Do lobbies support boss fights?

Yes. Some hosts specifically run spider or wolf spider fights — filter by activity to find a crew gearing up.

Are Grounded lobbies cross-platform?

Filter by platform — many hosts run cross-play, check the listing to confirm.

Why not just play with random public matchmaking?

Grounded doesn't have public matchmaking at all — you need a real invite. AnySquad is how you find people actually looking for a crew.
